Dorothea Lange

Dorothea was a photographer that had a message behind all of her photographs. In this photo I see a mom and her family, but know one seems to be happy. The photo, I believe is from the great depression. What she is trying to do it show what it was like for the family's who had to live through It. What really catches my eye is how dirty and depressing the people in the picture look. I like the black and white because it shows that it was "in the past" in my eyes and sends a deeper message. The mood I get off this photo is a sad depressing feeling and you can feel that the family is going through a hard time.

I choose to review this photograph because it spoke to me and i felt the feeling of sadness from the picture, and it just drew me in.
